: Vols Round Out Offensive Staff With Two Hires
Derek Dooley has hired Chicago Bears offensive line coach Harry Hiestand to the same position at the University Of Tennessee. The Vols also hired strength coach Bennie Wylie. Wylie was recently the strength coach at Texas Tech. He also spent three years on the Dallas Cowboys staff.

Hiestand Bio:

Harry Hiestand (born November 19, 1958 in Malvern, Pennsylvania) has been the offensive line coach for the National Football League Chicago Bears since 2005. Hiestand earned his bachelor's degree in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg in 1983. He and his wife, Terri, have three sons, Michael, Matthew and Mark, and one daughter, Sarah.

Wylie Bio:

Bennie Wylie is in his fifth season at Texas Tech as the Red Raider football team's strength and conditioning coach and his second heading up the fitness program for the nationally-ranked men's golf team.

The former Sam Houston State running back is a TPI Certified Golf Fitness instructor, receiving his certification two years ago.

Wylie's presence has been felt from the beginning and he has quickly established himself as one of the top strength coaches in the country. His training methods and dedication to the student-athlete has garnered national attention and has helped him earn the respect of those who work with him.

Prior to his appointment at Texas Tech, Wylie was an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Dallas Cowboys for four seasons. He worked under Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Joe Juraszek (former head strength and conditioning for Texas Tech) and head rehab trainer Britt Brown helping implement rehabilitation for injured players.

In addition to working with the Cowboys, Wylie also spent the 2002 spring season heading the strength and conditioning program for the Dallas Desperados arena football team, a property of the Dallas Cowboys.

Before working with the Cowboys, Wylie was the assistant strength coach at Sam Houston State University, where he was a four-year letterman in football from 1994-97. He was an All-Southland Conference running back as a senior in 1997 after averaging 4.8 yards per carry and leading the Bearkats in rushing. In 1994, he was named the Bearkats Freshman of the Year. He received a degree in kinesiology in 1999.

Wylie and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of twin boys, Braden and Caden (3).
