Urban Meyer Flips and Flops
Being a Tennessee fan, I should admit that I have never liked the man. Partly because he beats us every year and mostly because he seems like an arrogant jerk who is very lax or at least selective on discipline.
That said I was impressed that he had mentioned that he was putting faith, family, and his health ahead of a four million dollar job. At least for a few hours anyway.
What changed his mind?
He liked the way his players were practicing for the upcoming Sugar Bowl!
I feel sorry for a man that can be so easily swayed from something that affects more than him. Apparently he made the decision to return without consulting his family. His oldest daughter's cheer of "I got my daddy back" will have to wait. His hugs for her will have to wait at least until Tim Tebow is in the NFL next year.
Maybe it is best for Nicki and her younger brother and sister that Meyer is considering coaching again. He once hurriedly drove them to school in ten inches of snow and then left to head for football practice. He was apparently so busy thinking about game plans that he failed to realize that school had been cancelled and that his kids were the only children at school.
Many Florida recruits are now looking around at other schools. I can't blame them, many football players look to coaches as father figures and you never know when "Dad" Meyer might leave you in the middle of nowhere while he thinks about game plans.
