Tim Hardaway made the cardinal mistake you never make as a star athlete you never give your opinion on the air. Hardaway was asked what he thought about having a gay player on a basketball team and he basically said he hated gay's. That wasn't a very good choice of words and cost him his spot at all-star weekend.
David Stern banned him from coming to the All-Star game this weekend at las vegas. I can understand Stern for doing what he did but this is a country where you do have freedom of speech. I don't agree with what he said, but he has that right to say it. Getting banned was probably a blessing for him as the grief he would have took at the all-star game wouldn't be worth it.
