Tebow's Tears & Tiger's Trysts
Just a month ago Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow were both arguably the best at their sport. What a difference thirty short days can make. Like most I've been following the almost daily updates on Tiger's many girlfriends. I also have been reading comments on Tim Tebow's breakdown following the SEC championship loss to Alabama. The comments were brutal, some offering to sell vials of Tebow's tears on eBay and some questioning his sexuality with crude pictures with head coach Urban Meyer.
Why do fans and the media like to build up athletes to the pinnacle of the sports world just to be the hand that not only pushes them over the edge but kicks them all the way to the bottom?
Tim Tebow is a senior and just lost one of the biggest games of his career. Is that not worth a few tears? Would you rather have seen him laughing on the sidelines or talking to his agent on his phone while the seconds of his college career ticked away? He is a twenty something year old who has always handled himself well in public and has never embarrassed his school with arrests or academic problems.
Tiger Woods is a great professional golfer and quite possibly a bad husband. Is it any of our business if he cheated? Is it my business if you cheated on your taxes or your spouse?
Leave them both alone and let them live their life. Life is far too short for you to cast stones while your house may be falling down from neglect.
