Jason Whitlock is a columnist for the Kansas City Star and FoxSports.com. He recently called out Serena Williams because she has ONLY won 11 Grand Slam titles. He argues that she should have double that amount. Now, I know it is common practice for columnists to write controversial articles to help drive people to their column and to promote debate, however I think Whitlock goes to far here. He could just as easily have said the same thing about Tiger for only playing a select schedule a year or to tear down Jordan for missing out on additional championships during his two retirements, Serena is a great tennis player who made need to take time off to fight burnout and also to focus on other things that give her pleasure in life. Maybe Whitlock should back away from the dinner table and work on his tennis game more often.
