After losing to the Cleveland Indians 7-3 last night the Boston Red Sox are on the brink of elimination from the Major League Baseball playoffs. The one thing that has been Boston's best weapon has failed them so far in this series and that is their hitting. Big Pappi and Manny Ramirez has showed up, but besides that it has been non-existent.
The Red Sox will toss Josh Beckett thursday night in Cleveland, their last hope of getting it back to Boston. Beckett has had plenty of rest, but unless they get him some runs look for the Red Sox to exit the playoffs.
