Louisville , West Virginia What Happen To These College Football Powerhouses?

October 17th 2007 12:04
Louisville and West Virgina were considered two in the National Championship hunt and both have fell on hard times and it's hard to figure out. Both have Heisman Trophy hopefuls on there teams, but they still struggle. Brian Brohm and Pat White lead there teams at quarterback, but still haven't been able to bring there schools what they want a championship. West Virginia is probably the biggest shock as they have Pat White and Steve Slaton in the backfield and still struggle at times.

In defense of Pat White he has been injured some this year, but you still need to get the job done. Take Louisville they lost to a Syracuse team that isn't very good. I guess sometimes we put to many expectations on our teams and when they don't live up to the hype it's a big disappointment. I guess this is a perfect example.

Okay--you got me--I bleed blue and gold! (WVU colors) I won't argue that WVU has been slipping with every game this season. I think they peaked early last season and it was brought to everyone's attention this year in the South Florida game. Other teams have found out how to stop White & Slaton. Louisville, I don't know. The thing that got me is what I read today in the paper. They were talking about WVU's future scheduling. In order to "strengthen" the Big East they've scheduled home/away games with Auburn, Fla. State, and Colorado starting in 2008!!!!

So much for WVU and Louisville. Now that the game is over, what's your take on South Florida and Rutgers?????
