Lane Kiffin Likes 13 Year Old Boys
Well one 13 year old anyway. College football recruiting is not for the faint of heart. It is incredibly competitive and could mean the difference between a coach having a winning season or being fired.
Lane Kiffin understands this more than most coaches. He is a tireless recruiter who is willing to stretch the rules and suffer through countless reprimands from the league office and secondary violations from the NCAA to sign a prized recruit.
Now he has upstaged even himself. Kiffin has changed tactics from allegedly sending hostesses hundreds of miles away to recruit and calling former early enrollees at Tennessee, or by seeing into the future and assuring Seantrel Henderson that the NCAA will not punish USC for repeated violations.
This time Kiffin has gained a commitment from a middle school wonderkid in Delaware. David Sills is trained by quarterback guru Steve Clarkson. Clarkson claims he will be better than Jimmy Clausen and Matt Barkley.
My bet is that if this kid makes good on his commitment that he will not be playing for Kiffin in 2017.
