Help The NFLers Help The Children
April 30th 2009 01:40
Too many times we are hearing negative stories about pro athletes. This is unfortunate as the overwhelming majority of them are doing some awesome public service.
This is one of those stories
Three ex NFLers are on an epic bicycle ride that will not only end with a personal satisfaction of riding 2,000 miles from Michigan to Mexico but a new home for 140 orphaned children.
John Shinsky, Joe DeLamielleure, and Eljay Bowron are using their status and athletic skills to raise awareness for this worthy cause. The best part is that you can help without getting your rusty ten speed out of the basement or aggravating your trick knee. With a donation of 100 dollars to the foundation, the Buffalo Bills will enter you into a drawing for Super Bowl tickets and a backyard BBQ with the NFL Hall-Of-Famer "Joe D".
