I heard Dr. Jerry Punch, the NASCAR analyst from ESPN, announce that Danica Patrick will be driving in the ARCA series this coming February. The race will serve as a live resume to see if Patrick is ready for the faster more crowded Nationwide series. Punch noted that NASCAR receives up to 150 requests a week for from drivers wanting to move from the lower NASCAR divisions to the more popular Nationwide or ARCA series. Patrick may not have the experience of some of these drivers but she brings her own sponsors and would have an immediate following.


Danica will be joining Dale Earnhardt's JR Motorsports team. It's the perfect relationship in my opinion as both seem more interested in making commercials than race preparation.
