Bear Bryant At The Shakespeare Festvial
June 9th 2009 04:54
The favorite play at this year's Alabama Shakespeare Festival was not written by the English master playwright. This year the festival featured a story about a poor farm kid from Arkansas that would become one of the greatest football coaches in NCAA history. The play entitled "Bear Country" sold out for almost all of its showings, with the crowds resembling tailgaters more than theatre patrons.
The company that is producing the play has decided to take it on the road to Birmingham and possibly other future cities.
If you are a fan of college football or would just like to see a great American success story, then try to make the trek to Alabama to pay tribute to this great man.
